Discovery has entered into a new strategic agreement with the Latvian operator Balticom.
As a result, Balticom will continue to offer to its viewers content from Discovery’s portfolio including the upcoming Olympic Games Beijing 2022.
Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, Discovery Science, Eurosport 1, Eurosport 2 and TLC are included in the Basic subscription package and these channels will also be available to watch on Balticom’s OTT platfom. In addition, subscribers with DVB-C decoders (Digital Basic) will be able to watch the content from two extra channels in the Discovery’s portfolio, namely DTX and ID.
Commenting on the development, Slavena Dimova, distribution manager – NEE for Discovery, said: “Discovery and Balticom already have a great history and we are happy to take our partnership even further with this new agreement. Latvia is a priority in this region for Discovery. We are very pleased to be able to offer our addictive and captivating content from our portfolio to Balticom subscribers”.
