The Slovenian regulator AKOS has announced that as of the end of January the capacity of the DVB-T Multiplex C is fully occupied.
In a statement, it added that in addition to three freely available channels, it now also has a pay-TV package.
AKOS continued: “the network operator RTV Slovenia thus took advantage of the possibility that the agency (AKOS) allowed at the end of 2017, as interest in broadcasting free access channels fell sharply”.
Broadband TV News notes that the public broadcaster RTV Slovenia operates two multiplexes, A and C, reaching 99% and 96% of Slovenian households respectively. It stopped transmitting SD versions of its channels on Multiplex C last month.
