Major change for Slovakia’s Antik Telecom

February 1, 2022 10.29 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Slovak operator Antik Telecom will simplify the offer of its satellite TV service to three main packages and supplement them with other attractive services on March 1.

The highest AntikSAT package, while still costing €11.90 a month, will include all commercial channels that are located at Eutelsat 16 E. The two original two medium packages will be transformed into one – AntikSAT Pohoda – without changing the monthly price of €7.90 and improving the offer of top of documentary, film and children’s kids channels.

The biggest change will take place in the introductory package AntikSAT Zaciatok, which will include 10 must-carry services, including sports channels and Joj Cinema, as well as the adult Extasy 4K. The package costs €3.90 including VA each month, making it the most attractive in terms of price and content in the Slovak satellite TV market.

Commenting on the changes, Vlastimil Lakatos, head of TV services at Antik Telecom, said: Some time ago, thanks to internal surveys, we have identified clients’ interest in supplementing and simplifying our portfolio of hybrid satellite services.

“We have therefore merged the original AntikSat Home Relaxation and Family Fun packages into one, and at the same time we have added the required sports programmes and other content. We have significantly expanded the starter package, which has become the most advantageous package on the Slovak satellite market in terms of content and price. We are pleased that we have managed to maintain a discount at internet AntikTV for clients who watch programs within the Slovak Republic”.

AntikSat thus continues to modernise its services following the recent deployment of progressive HEVC coding on the Eutelsat 16E satellite.

The AntikSat service also includes the reception of almost 100 other channels via the internet without a price increase, free TV archive for up to 20 days, which contains more than 2000 archived titles, and video rental services with more than 1000 titles of various genres, including movies, documentaries and children’s shows at no additional charge.

Antik notes that all changes are valid only when ordering services from March 1, prior to which it is possible to order packages at the original prices. Likewise, customers who have a prepaid offer for several periods in advance can use them without changing the price until the end of their subscription.

The only change in the internet TV offer AntikTV will come from March 1, with the monthly fee for the standard AntikTV Mini package being reduced by €2 a month to €5.90 for users in Slovakia.

Other Antiksat and AntikTV channel packages will not change. Antik’s TV retransmission services via fixed optical, wireless and cable networks will also remain unchanged.
