New agreement between TV 2 and Telenor

January 24, 2022 10.50 Europe/London By Julian Clover

TV 2 is back on Telenor screens following the conclusion of a new long-term agreement.

The new agreement gives Telenor’s customers access to all TV 2’s channels with news, sports, entertainment, drama and other TV programmes. During the year, all Telenor’s customers will also have access to the TV 2 Play streaming service as part of the TV package.

“We entered into negotiations with a desire for a long-term collaboration with TV 2 where we invest more in Norwegian quality content and create an even better TV product for our customers. These ambitions will be taken care of in the new agreement,” says Camilla Amundsen, head of TV and broadband for Telenor Norway.

“We are pleased to have reached an agreement with Telenor on a long-term and future-oriented cooperation agreement,” adds Olav T. Sandnes, editor-in-chief and CEO of TV2. “Now we can finally welcome the viewers back, and not least thank you for the patience that has been put to the test. The agreement is important in the fierce competition against international streaming services and ensures viewers good Norwegian content in the years to come.”

The popular channel, home to The Voice and Every Time we Meet, had been absent from the 550,000 T-We households since December 3 last year.
