RTL Group has sold its entire shareholding in the US media measurement firm VideoAmp for ¢104 million in cash.
The company explained the sale was in line with its three priorities of “core, growth, alliances & partnerships”. This includes a constant review of the group’s portfolio.
Between 2015 and 2021, RTL Group participated in several rounds of funding for VideoAmp and most recently held an 8.57% shareholding1in VideoAmp. RTL Group’s total net cash investment in VideoAmp amounted to $14.5 million.
Last year, RTL sold SpotX to ad tech company Magnite in a deal worth $1.17 billion.
