Zattoo offers insights on TV platform in product talk series

December 3, 2021 08.00 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Following the cancelation of IBC 2021, Zattoo is hosting a product talks series focusing on recent enhancements of its end-to-end TV-as-a-service platform.

The sessions, presented by Zattoo product owners and business development managers, will include Zattoo’s ‘Operator Shop and Bridge’ monitoring tool, operator set-top boxes, the importance of low latency streaming, the rise of smart TV apps and Zattoo’s new customer in Africa: Telma Madagascar.

Talk 1: Operator set-top boxes
Speakers: Franziska Kleemann (Product Owner Android TV for Operators), Patrick Bee (Product Owner Apple TV for Operators) and Steffen Brauer (Business Development Manager)
As TV consumption continues to migrate towards app-based streaming, the demand of Android TV and Apple TV for operator devices increases. In this session Franziska, Patrick and Steffen will talk about the shift towards app-based TV services.

Talk 2: The importance of low latency streaming
Speakers: Stefan Kaiser (Engineering Manager Video) and Steffen Brauer (Business Development Manager)
Zattoo has recently introduced a low latency feature to target below 10 second video latency across the majority of its applications. In this product talk, Stefan and Steffen will discuss the importance of video latency, especially for live streaming events, and why it is so relevant for operators and service providers.

Talk 3: Smart TV apps
Speakers: Aaron Dey (Product Owner Web TV) and Graeme Leith (Business Development Manager)
Nowadays, the majority of TV consumers use smart TVs to watch linear TV content. In this talk, Aaron and Graeme will address the rise of smart TV apps with a focus on the HbbTV OpApp as a standard for a virtual set-top box.

Talk 4: Zattoo’s latest customer acquisition in Africa with Telma Madagascar
Speakers: Mirza Besirovic (Innovation Product Manager) and Graeme Leith (Business Development Manager)
Telma Madagascar has selected the Zattoo TV platform to bring state-of-the-art IPTV and OTT entertainment to Madagascar. In this session, Mirza and Graeme will share Zattoo’s learnings of launching a TV service fully remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic and within a short period of time.

Talk 5: Operator Shop
Speakers: Ana Mora (Product Owner for the Projects Team) and Steffen Brauer (Business Development Manager)
For operators, being able to sell digital products on their devices is not only a major revenue driver for their TV offering, it also helps reduce costs. During this talk, Ana and Steffen will show Zattoo’s operator shop and explain how Zattoo has enabled its customer 1&1 to upsell within the user experience of its white label apps.

Talk 6: “Bridge” monitoring tool
Speakers: Ulrika Hermsdorf (Product Owner Bridge) and Graeme Leith (Business Development Manager)
Creating best-in-class TV services goes hand in hand with best-in-class customer insights. In this product talk, Ulrika and Graeme will present Zattoo’s analytics tool “‘Bridge” which provides Zattoo’s B2B customers with real-time analytics and a support function.

Interested parties are invited to get in touch with Tiziana Santoro, Sales Development Representative at Zattoo (tiziana.santoro@zattoo.com), to take part in the product talks.
