The Latvian streaming entertainment platform Tet+ has already attained a market share of 35% only eight months after its launch.
Furthermore, according to its operator the incumbent operator Tet, more than 60% of users of the platform create their own TV packages.
Commenting on Tet+, Inga Alika-Stroda, director of entertainment services at Tet, said: “Tet + is currently one of the leaders in the field of streaming services in Latvia. “The platform concept is a novelty in the television industry in the Baltic States, and we are convinced that it has export potential in other markets as well”.
Over two-thirds (70%) of new Tet TV customers choose Tet +. At the same time, the satisfaction of existing customers with the service is growing – currently more than 82% of users appreciate the convenience of choosing TV channels, while 75% say that streaming content is easy to use.
Tet + customers spend almost 50% longer on the screen compared to the year before the Shortcut app was launched. In 2020, they averaged 2.4 hours, and in 2021 3.5 hours.
In order to make the content of the entertainment platform Tet + more attractive to Russian and English-speaking viewers, it is planned to introduce versions of the website in the two languages in 2022.
