The 14 local TV channels from German federal state Bavaria have launched on TV streaming platforms Zattoo and 1&1 HD TV.
“Local and regional media offerings must be accessible on all available infrastructures in the digital world. In order to support Bavarian local television in its journalistic diversity, the Bavarian media regulator is doing everything in its power to make the content available on all relevant media platforms,” Dr Thorsten Schmiege, President of Bavarian media authority BLM, said in Munich.
The channels are distributed in HD quality. Zattoo and 1&1 HD TV also serve other providers, such as municipal utilities, with TV packages.
