Kelly Day, who until recently was President of Streaming for ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI), is to join Amazon as Vice President, Prime Video International.
Day will join the parcels to showbiz company in January 2022, reporting to Mike Hopkins, senior VP of Amazon Studios and Prime Video, who announced the move in a memo to staff, describing her as “an accomplished executive in the international streaming space”.
Day will oversee Prime Video’s business and video offerings available in each country and region, including SVOD, TVOD and Channels businesses. Amazon Original shows and movies, which will continue to be the responsibility of Jen Salke and James Farrell.
At ViacomCBS, Day led the company’s global streaming business, and also managed the expansion of Pluto TV, following launches in Latin America, France, Spain and Italy.
