The Russian DTH and online TV operator NTV-Plus has integrated its platform with that of LitRes, the market leader for licensed electronic and audio books in Russia and the CIS countries.
As a result, it is now able to provide its subscribers with access to 300,000 electronic and audiobooks from the LitRes collection.
Commenting on the development, Konstantin Smirnov, director of the digital products department at NTV-Plus, said: “I am glad that NTV-Plus TV subscribers have fast and technological access to an extensive catalogue of digital books of the largest book service in Russia. This is a qualitatively new content for us, which, I hope, will be in demand by the NTV-Plus online audience. Our development strategy is a universal aggregator of legal content in Russia, and we are consistently implementing it”.
Irina Graaf, deputy general director for marketing and commercial direction of LitRes Group, added: “Our main tasks are the development of the book market in Russia, expanding the audience of digital books and strengthening the position of the LitRes group of companies. And we plan to achieve them, including through partnerships with major market players from other categories. We are confident that NTV-Plus TV will become an effective distribution channel for us”.
