Good start for TVP World

November 23, 2021 07.32 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Polish public broadcaster’s new international English language channel TVP World was viewed over 200,000 times at tvpworld.com on November 18-21.

On its launch day, it recorded a peak of almost 8,500 streams at 21.00. TVP World is also accessible on YouTube, where it has already secured 22,400 subscriptions. The website tvpworld.com was also viewed over 320,000 in the first four days of the service.

TVP says that the channel can be accessed on both tvpworld.com and tvpstream.vod.tvp.pl.

It adds that Nielsen data show that TVP World was watched by 40,000 viewers in the night service of TVP Info. Furthermore, TVP World on TVP Info can be accessed via satellite on the Dish Network, which reaches around 12 million homes in the US.

As previously reported by Broadband TV News, TVP brought forward the launch of the channel to November 18 in response to the crisis on the Poland/Belarus border.
