TV ad spend in Bulgaria is expected to bounce back this year following a dip in 2020 brought about by the pandemic.
According to figures published by the Bulgarian Association of Communication Agencies (BACA), it amounted to BGN247 million (€126.3 million) in 2020, down 5% on 2019, but should rose to BGN270 million this year.
This will only be bettered in recovery terms by digital media, which still grew by 17% in 2019 and is forecast to reach BGN161 million this year, a further increase of 13%.
Although total ad spend fell by1.4% to BGN455.1 million in 2020, it is forecast to grow by 10.3% this year to BGN501.840 million.
