The Romanian parliament has appointed Dan Cristian Turturica the president-general manager of the Romanian public broadcaster TVR.
He was confirmed with 249 votes in favour and 89 against.
The parliament has also approved TVR’s new board of directors, which consists of 13 full and nine alternate members.
Turturica has over three decades of experience in the media and in the audiovisual sector previously worked for Prima TV, TVR and Realitatea TV.
In the same parliamentary meeting, Razvan Ioan Dinca was elected the new president-general director of Romanian public radio.
