German fibre-optic network operator Deutsche GigaNetz has launched its own TV offering using the cloud solution from Austrian IPTV service provider Ocilion.
Customers can access the multiscreen platform MyTV via a 4K set-top box or via an app for smartphones, tablets, Apple TV or Amazon Fire TV.
The basic package includes a broad selection of HD channels, combined with add-on features such as replay, restart and a recording function. Also on board are a video-on-demand service (VOD) and premium content.
The basis is Ocilion’s turnkey white label solution, which enabled a short-term implementation of the IPTV offer. The end-to-end system, which is aimed at network operators and city carriers, includes software, hardware, accompanying services as well as content packages and an integrated VOD service.
