It appears that a human’s best friend is developing square eyes with the launch of a new channel aimed at the dog population.
DogTV, in which Discovery has taken a strategic stake, has gone live in the UK.
Now that we’re starting to head back to the office it seems obvious that our canine friends will be missing the company, so here’s a channel that will take care of their every need until master or mistress returns home.
Professor Nicholas Dodman, the chief scientist for DogTV, said: “DogTV is an excellent resource for dog owners to help alleviate some of the behavioural problems that can arise when dogs are left alone.
“With numbers of dog owners rising over the pandemic, and owners now returning to work, DogTV helps canines to feel relaxed and comforted until their owners return home.”
Disappointingly, there appears to be no room in the schedule for Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds or The Littlest Hobo, instead, the programmes have been “scientifically developed” for its four-legged audience.
DogTV is available on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
