Redge Media partners with Beacon

November 8, 2021 09.32 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Redge Media video software and Beacon STB hardware have partnered to decrease time to market and deployment costs, primarily for the Android and RDK ecosystems for online or hybrid environments.

Redge Media is a comprehensive technology platform for building online TV. Provided by Redge Technologies, it serves major OTT service providers in the CEE region including TVN Discovery player.pl, Iliad Play Now, Go3 Baltics, RASP vod.pl, Vectra and Canal+.

Meanwhile, Beacon is a South Korean based technology company that mainly specialises in the development & manufacturing of digital connectivity devices, including STB based on Android OTT & DVB hybrid, RDK, Linux based technology for pay-TV operators and telcos. It offers value-added digital broadcasting services to more than 35 customers in about 28 countries and in the CEE region provides Android based STBs to Telekom Srbija, Telekom Slovenije, Bulsatcom, Vodafone, Sappa, and Unitel T+.

The partnership between Redge Media SW and Beacon STB HW will offer the market pre-integrated components and development teams with clean communication arteries. It will result in project risk reduction and faster and cost-effective deployments.

Redge Media and Beacon will be present on IBC in Amsterdam, from December 23-6 1. Beacon, located at booth 5.A67, will showcase its STB HW range with focus on Android TV. Redge Media, located at booth 5.F21, will feature its CDN 3.0 technology and its UX 3.0 solutions dedicated to VOD, news, sport and lifestyle video services, among others.
