PPF Group sees Serbia as one of its strategic markets and has no plans to exit the country.
Quoting Marek Slacik, CEO of TMT CEE PPF Telecom Group, b92 adds that its business strategy focuses on markets that offer significant growth potential and carry weight in its portfolio. That is why it recently decided to sell Telenor Montenegro to Hungary’s 4iG.
In the case of Serbia, Slacik also referred to recent comments by Ladislav Bartonicek, the head of PPF Group, when he said: “We are very satisfied with Telenor and the business environment in Serbia, and we intend to stay here, and we are also researching some new jobs and services”.
Czech PPF Group acquired Telenor’s telecommunications companies in Bulgaria, Hungary, Montenegro and Serbia in July 2018. The move led to the formation of the PPF Telecom Group within the structure of the PPF Group, whose other interests in Central and Eastern Europe include the CME broadcast group in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria and Slovenia.
