The Ukrainian regulator National Council has announced the results of the first licence competition since the start of quarantine measures in the country.
In a statement, it says that they were for the broadcasting of free TV channels on DVB-T2 (MPEG-4) multichannel TV networks intended for local broadcasting.
It adds that the frequencies proposed for the competition were calculate so that local TV companies could complete the transition to digital broadcasting.
In total, 43 local digital TV channels were put up for competition in 17 regions of Ukraine.
The competition for 15 channels was suspended because there were no applicants and applications.
