Prime Video reaches agreement with TF1

October 25, 2021 11.33 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Amazon’s Prime Video has reached an agreement with TF1 to carry highlights of its Ligue 1 coverage on the iconic show Téléfoot.

Earlier this year Amazon reached agreement to screen more than 600 matches from the top two tiers of French football. It’s a boost for the Téléfoot brand that had been the moniker used during last season’s failed Mediapro bid for Ligue 1 football.

“We are delighted with this agreement with TF1 and to make Ligue 1 shine even more to all football fans in France,” said Alex Green, Managing Director of Prime Video Sport for Europe. “This deal is great news for all fans. Our goal has always been to offer them the best of Ligue 1 and Téléfoot is a historic program in France.”

“We are very happy to be able, once again, to offer exceptional exposure to the Ligue 1 Championship by making all the highlights and analysis of the matches accessible to as many people as possible. With the return of these images in the show, Téléfoot is also strengthening its position as a leading and essential football magazine, ”adds François Pellissier, DGA Groupe TF1 Business and Sports.

The Prime Video app is compatible with smart TVs, mobile devices, Fire TV media gateway, Fire TV Stick, Fire tablets, Apple TV. The French can also be able to access it online on primevideo.com, and on the Bouygues Bbox Miami and BBox 4K, Freebox Delta, One, Mini 4K, POP, Revolution, SFR Fiber Box, SFR Box Plus, SFR Box 8 and Orange boxes. STB 3 & 4 & 5, as well as the Orange TV key.
