Jan Lange joins Grass Valley

October 19, 2021 12.00 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Grass Valley has appointed Jan Lange its chief revenue officer.

In this new role, Lange will report to Tim Shoulders, Grass Valley CEO and president, leading the global sales team and help drive the company’s recently launched new strategic focus on live production. He will be responsible for expanding the GV Media Universe(GVMU) cloud-centred customer base and growing revenue through new partnerships and large enterprise pricing agreements.

Lange has 25 years of experience in digital transformation across the media market, managing international revenue growth and turnaround processes in various senior leadership positions. His experience in the media technology market comes from serving as MD, central EMEA region, at Avid Technology, and as SVP global sales at Media Broadcast, the largest European media network service provider for radio, TV, satellite and cable.

Commenting on the appointment, Shoulders, said: “the appointment of Jan to the Grass Valley leadership team supports our recently announced commitment to be the cloud workflow transformation partner of choice for the world’s leading creators and providers of premium live content. Jan brings an impressive sales track record and has the innovation mindset to grow adoption of the GVMU and bring cloud enabled efficiencies to the industry. His experience in establishing strategic international relationship networks will be instrumental in helping us deliver on our vision to lead the media and entertainment market through its digital transformation”.

Lange added: “the hallmark of any successful business is a clear strategic focus, and I am delighted to join the Grass Valley team at a time when it is revitalising its commitment to the future of live video. As our customers adapt to changing market dynamics, they will need to lean on trusted partners to help them transition to agile business models that leverage the cloud. Grass Valley with its “We Love Live” mantra is the right technology partner for the future, and I look forward to driving this effort to empower storytellers around the world”.
