Latvia’s Tet teams up with TV3 Group

October 13, 2021 09.54 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Latvian incumbent Tet and TV Group have concluded an agreement on the broadcasting of several sports channels.

As a result, viewers of the entertainment platform Tet+, Helio interactive TV service and Helio terrestrial TV will be able to watch TV3 Sport, TV3 Sport 2, TV3 Sport 3 and TV3 Sport Open.

Commenting on the agreement, Uldis Tatarcuks, Tet’s CEO and chairman of the board, said: “We are pleased that in cooperation with the TV3 Group, we have managed to agree on a solution that will well complement the existing sports content for our customers. The demand for a unified environment with a wide range of content continues to grow, and we will definitely continue to develop both local and international sports offerings, with a special focus on strengthening local content through television, movies and series”.

Christian Antings, CEO of TV3 Group, added: “We are pleased to sign an agreement with Tet, which is a new milestone in our strategy and makes the latest sports channel TV3 Sport Open more accessible to all TV viewers and sports fans in the Baltics. In addition, Tet + customers will be offered the opportunity to watch premium sports channels, creating an opportunity to enjoy the full range of premium sports offerings. To further expand the sports viewing experience, fans will be able to supplement their subscription with the Premium sports package – and arguably the most anticipated event of this weekend – Mairis Briedis fight, in which he will defend his IBF world champion title”.
