M7 and Tele Columbus extend partnership

September 20, 2021 09.42 Europe/London By Broadband TV News Correspondent

German cable operator Tele Columbus continues to serve the customers of its consumer brand PŸUR with TV channels supplied by service provider M7.

The two companies renewed and expanded their long-standing partnership. The TV channels are distributed to the cable head-ends throughout Germany using M7’s satellite platform. In addition, M7 and PŸUR agreed to strengthen their marketing campaigns and to further expand their products and services.

“With PŸUR and Tele Columbus, we are linked by a successful partnership that goes back to 2008, when we launched the first independent satellite platform to provide cable networks with digital TV channels. A milestone. We are proud that Germany’s second largest cable operator continues to rely on M7’s wholesale products, and thus on channel diversity, reliability and quality,” said Marco Hellberg, Managing Director of Eviso Germany, the M7 business partner in Germany.

Stefan Riedel, Chief Consumer Officer of Tele Columbus, added: “With their technical platform services and a wide range of target group-specific pay-TV and international channel packages, the continued cooperation with the M7 Group enables us to offer an attractive channel portfolio within our coverage area. We are pleased to continue the successful cooperation of recent years with the M7 Group.”
