Four French DTT channels could find themselves with new owners following the merger of TF1 and M6.
Les Echos reports that the newly formed group would find itself with 10 DTT channels and current rules permit the ownership of up to seven.
It adds that the channels that could be affected are Gulli, TFX, Séries Films and 6Ter. France’s Competition Authority is currently studying the merger and is expected to give its verdict by the end of next year.
The bankers overseeing the merger are understood to have already started a search for new owners for the channels.
