Türk Telekom has registered intellectual property rights for 56 products used in 5G technology and fibre networks in the US Patent and Trademark Office.
The news was given by Ümit Önal, the company’s CEO, speaking in San Francisco and quoted by Hurriyet Daily News.
He added that since its privatisation in 2005, Türk Telekom has invested $17.9 billion in research and development and acquisitions.
Türk Telekom’s subsidiary Argela operates in the US through its Silicon Valley-based affiliate Netsia.
Earlier this year the latter entered into a partnership with the US’s Juniper Networks to create a joint innovation path for accelerated open RAN development and deployment.
