Swisscom plans to invest up to €20 million in Latvia over the next three years.
Furthermore, according to company representative John de Keizer, speaking at the opening of the Swisscom technology centre DevOps Riga and quoted by Diena Bizness, it will employ around 300 highly qualified specialists.
The centre is Swisscom’s second outside Switzerland and is part of the telco’s strategy to establish some of the leading technology development centres in Europe by 2025.
The first centre opened in the Dutch city of Rotterdam in October 2019.
