Eurosport’s promotion and events management arm, Eurosport Events, is to be rebranded as Discovery Sports Events.
It will move to be directly under the control of Discovery Sports, the group that operates the company’s portfolio of sports brands, channels and platforms.
Previously Eurosport Events has focussed on motorsport, but this us expanding to include UCI Track Champions League, FIM Speedway GP and FIA Electric GT.
“As we look ahead, Discovery Sports Events is well placed to help build sports properties for the long-term, deliver truly innovative on-event and on-screen experiences and integrate sustainability into every part of the process. With series already underway and new ones launching soon, I can’t wait to see what the team delivers over the coming year and beyond,” said Andrew Georgiou, President of Sports, Discovery.
Discovery Sports was created in June this year and also includes Global Cycling Network (GCN), Global Mountain Bike Network (GMBN), Golf Digest and GOLFTV.
