Swiss telco Salt has become the latest operator to add a branded Apple TV remote produced by Universal Electronics.
The product, launched by Salt in June, has been designed specifically for Multichannel Video Program Distributors (MVPDs).
“UEI has been a strong partner, helping us to provide our customers with a simple and quality remote control designed for Apple TV,” said Pascal Grieder, Salt’s CEO. “The collaboration with UEI across the project has been excellent.”
Salt originally launched its IPTV service over the Apple TV 4K in March 2018.

UEI’s Apple TV remote combines Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity together with Infrared to provide universal control, and features a range of innovative features and benefits to enhance the TV viewing experience.
Existing customers can also purchase UEI’s Apple TV remote control as a standalone accessory in over 100 Salt stores throughout Switzerland and on Salt’s website.
