Polsat launches new VOD and streaming service

September 1, 2021 11.57 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Poland’s Polsat has launched a new VOD and streaming service named Polsat Box Go to replace its previous services ipla and Cyfrowy Polsat Go.

Accessible via the Polsat Box Go app or polsatboxgo.pl, it consists of two ad-free packages: Polsat Box Go Sport and Polsat Box Go Premium which can be bought on a monthly basis and without any contract or commitment. Polsat Box Go offers thousands of hours of the best sports, films and series, fairy tales for children, which everyone can watch when and where they want. It includes VOD content, original premium content, series and pre-premiere programmes, 120 TV channels, live and in the highest quality, including 4K.

Commenting on the launch, Maciej Stec, VP of the management board for strategy of Cyfrowy Polsat and Polkomtel, operator of the Plus network, Polsat Plus Group., said: “Polsat Box Go is a service for everyone and available everywhere with the internet. We have prepared, among others, two new, simple packages: Polsat Box Go Sport and Polsat Box Go Premium. What is important – the service and the application are available to everyone. This means that you do not need to be a Polsat Box subscriber”.

He added: “Polsat Box Go Sport is our gem – for the first time all our sport is included in one package. In the Sport package you will see the UEFA Champions League and Polsat Sport Premium channels, PKO BP Ekstraklasa and Canal + Sport3 and 4 channels, the Spanish, Italian and French league, Formula 1 and other disciplines in Eleven Sports channels, Polsat Sport and Eurosport 1 and 2 channels – all sports in one place. Polsat Box Go Premium is a great VOD package with movies, premiere premium series, shows, news and journalism and 100 attractive TV channels. In Polsat Box Go, you can choose what, where and when you want and watch it on a selected device”.

Aside from the two main packages, which are available for promotional monthly prices of PLN40 – €8.8 (sport) and PLN30 (premium), viewers can also watch the packages Polsat Box Go HBO, Polonia and Fortuna 1, the latter two of which are aimed at those based overseas.
