Canal+ has extended its contract to screen the MotoGP World Championship for a further six years.
Announcing the agreement, the French paycaster said the championship was increasingly popular with subscribers. The 2020 Moto GP season recorded an average of 703,000 viewers, an increase of 71% on the previous year, with 2021 already bringing in an average of 846,000 viewers to date.

Dorna has done an exceptional job and, alongside the editorial teams led by Thomas Sénécal, has made a significant contribution to the development of the sport in France.”
Expert mode on myCanal allows subscribers to follow the action with the onboard cameras of their choice or through Multiview. There’s also a dedicated OTT channel on myCanal: Canal+ MotoGP.

Canal also holds the rights to the Formula 1 World Championship until 2024 and the WRC until 2030.
