HD+ to launch streaming service for mobile devices

August 31, 2021 08.54 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

German DTH satellite platform HD+ will launch a streaming service for smartphones and tablets on September 29, 2021.

With HD+ ToGo, the subsidiary of Astra satellite operator SES will enable its customers to watch more than 50 HD channels and access catch-up services. The app also comprises instant restart, a TV guide, search function, recommendations and personalised TV schedule.

The ad-free app will be available for Android and iOS operating systems and cost €5 per month on top of the regular HD+ subscription; the first month is free. HD+ ToGo can be cancelled monthly.

Two streams can be used on up to five different devices at the same time; there are no additional costs for use in EU countries outside Germany.

HD+ ToGo will be offered as an additional option via the customer account and will also become available in retail stores in future.
