Poland’s National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) has granted operators permission to include Discovery’s now Dutch-registered news channel TVN24 in their programme line-up.
According to the regulator, Discovery now holds a total of 224 licences issued by the Dutch regulatory authority for channels targeted at the Netherlands and other European countries, including 10 Polish language licences other than TVN24.
It adds that the decision ensures the continuity of TVN24 broadcasting in Poland after September 26, regardless of the results of the currently pending proceedings.
Operators will be required to pay a registration fee of PLN113 (€24.7) for its inclusion in their line-up.
