The cost of TV advertising in Russia is set to rise by 15-20% next year.
According to Kommersant, the National Advertising Alliance (NRA), which is the main seller of TV advertising in the country, is preparing what will be the largest price rise in the five years of its existence.
Quoting Alexei Tolstogan, the NRA’s general director, it adds that inflation on national and regional TV will be 15-20%, with a budget growth of 7-10%, while growth in Moscow could reach 30%.
Tolstogan also said that following last year’s contraction of 3%, the TV ad market may grow by 12-13% this year.
Kommersant quotes a source at NRA as saying that the seller is exploring the possibility of expanding inventory by measuring live viewers in different environments, including set-top boxes and video services.
