The Czech national commercial broadcaster FTV Prima has applied to the country’s Radio and TV Council (RRTV) for another channel licence.
Parabola reports that the working name for the channel is Prima? (Prima with a question mark), which was also used when applying for a licence for a channel now named Prima Star which is up and running.
It adds that FTV Prima is seeking both terrestrial and special transmission systems distribution for the new channel, the request for which will be considered by the RRTV at one of its next meetings.
FTV Prima currently operates 10 TV channels, including the flagship Prima, CNN Prima News and an international service named Prima Plus aimed at viewers in neighbouring Slovakia.
