Netflix is to increase its prices off all its subscription offers in France by €1-2 a month.
Les Echos reports they will come into effect immediately for new customers and in the next billing for existing ones.
It adds that the basic offer called “Essential” now costs €8.99 per month as opposed to €7.99. Meanwhile, the “standard” (which gives access on two screens simultaneously in HD quality) goes up to €13.99 from €11.99. The “Premium” subscription (for four simultaneous screens and programmes in 4K) now costs €17.99 as opposed to €15.99.
Netflix says the increase reflects the platform’s current and future investments in original films, series and documentaries.
