DAZN has debuted a dedicated terrestrial channel in Italy to ensure its Serie A coverage reaches the wides possible audience.
The channel is accompanied by an Android-based set-top box aimed at those who live outside areas where fibre broadband is available. The box costs €139.99 and is restricted to a single DAZN app. Purchasers are verified to ensure they cannot receive the DAZN feed by any other means.
In addition to DAZN’s weekly seven exclusive matches and the remaining three shared with Sky other international matches, sporting events and DAZN original content is also available.
The deployment of the box was part of the distribution agreement reached between DAZN and Telecom Italia Media (TIM).
