The Czech satellite and internet TV operator Telly has withdrawn all but one Digi Sport channel (6) from its offer.
Instead, it is providing coverage of the Premier League on the Premier Sport channel, the licence for which is held by the incumbent O2. It will also offer coverage of the Champions League via the Premier Sport 2 and Nova Sport 3 and 4 channels. Viewers will also be able to continue watching Bundesliga, LaLiga, Serie A and Ligue 1, as well as English FA Cup, Dutch Eredivisie and the UEFA Europa League.
According to Vladimír Rusnák, head of TV operator Telly, “Negotiations on royalties were demanding, but fair and factual. We are very happy that we can continue to offer our clients top sports broadcasts of football leagues in the quality that our viewers are used to, and also allow them to watch the prestigious UEFA Champions League”.
Telly says it also continues to offer a range of other sports. For instance, UFC and US NFL broadcasts continue on Premier Sport channels, while tennis tournaments, cycling competitions and for example, skiing, can be enjoyed on Eurosport 1 and 2.
