Portugal’s TVI and Eleven have signed a new deal for the UEFA Champions League free-to-air (FTA) rights for three more years.
The partnership includes sharing the broadcasting rights, as well as the editorial integration of cross-platform content together.
TVI will thus continue to be the FTA channel that broadcasts one match per match in the UEFA Champions League, over the next three seasons, with Eleven ensuring the full broadcast of all matches in the competition, from the UEFA Supercup through the play offs to the final, which will take place next season in St. Petersburg, Russia
.
The agreement includes a package of 18 guaranteed games, from the UEFA Supercup to the final of the competition and one game for the Portuguese teams for each match day until the final.
The channels will continue to work in partnership with various shared content, such as the preview and balance programmes for each matchday and round of the UEFA Champions League and the other Eleven international leagues shown in Portugal, such as LaLiga, Bundesliga and Ligue1.
The agreement between Eleven and UEFA started in the 2018/19 season and will last until at least the 2023/24 season.
