The Russian incumbent Rostelecom ended the second quarter with a total of 10.8 million pay-TV subscribers.
This, according to the company in its latest set of results, was 2% more than in the same period last year.
Of these, 6.3 million, or 8% more than a year earlier, opted for its IPTV services.
Although Rostelecom also saw a modest increase in its pay-TV ARPU – up 2% to R254 (€2.9) – that for IPTV fell by 2% to R302.
Rostelecom’s total revenues in Q2 amounted to R138,589 million (+9%), while its OIBDA was R55,938 million (+15%).
Its net income was R11,174 million, or 46% more than a year earlier.
