The Czech national broadcaster Nova will launch two premium sports channels on August 13.
According to Parabola, they will be named Nova Sport 3 and Nova Sport 4 and viewers the UEFA Champions League and other football competitions such as the Italian Serie A, Spanish La Liga and the German Bundesliga.
It adds that Nova acquired the rights to the competitions thanks to a new partnership with Saran Media Group.
At launch, Nova Sport 3 and Nova Sport 4 will be distributed by O2 TV, T-Mobile Ceska Republika, Slovak Telekom and Digi Slovakia.
The launch of Nova Sport 3 and Nova Sport 4 is one of several important upcoming changes in the Czech and Slovak sports channel market. They include the closure of Digi Sport and launch of a new channel by O2 named Premier Sport 2.
Separately, reports Digizone, Nova also plans to launch a new channel this autumn named Nova Lady and aimed at female viewers. It will also rebrand its channel Nova 2 as Nova Fun.
