Russia’s longest established DTT operator ended the first half of this year with around 267,000 subscribers to its OTT platform.
This, according to the company, was 13% more than in the same period last year.
Meanwhile, the company’s total subscriber base, including DTH customers, stood at 1,106,000 as of the end of June.
The share of viewers of the online TV service NTV-Plus.TV who are also DTT customers amounted to 25%. This was 2.2 times more than in the first half of last year.
NTV-Plus also offers its viewers the Online TV (Multiscreen) service, which allows them to watch TV channels included in the satellite subscription on any digital device on favourable terms.
NTV-Plus notes that the level of audience loyalty remained at a high level, with, according to AppStore, 82% of users renewing their subscription for the next period. The number of viewers using the PPV viewing model did not change either in the first half of the year, amounting to about 3.5% of the total number of digital subscribers.
At the same time, the number of subscribers using the SVOD model slightly decreased. In the first half of this year, their share was 72%, compared to 85% in H1 2020.
