Media Group Ukraine expands to Portugal

Media Group Ukraine (MGU) has reached an agreement with Altice’s Meo to distribute its channels in Portugal.

As a result, Meo viwers will be able to watch the information channel Ukraine 24 in one of the operator’s basic packages, as well as buy a a paid subscription to the entire package of channels produced in Ukraine. The a la carte offer will include Ukraine 1/Ukraine 2, UFO TV 2, as well as partner channels Star Cinema, Star Family, X-Sport and Rybalka TV.

Commenting on the developmnet, Oleksandr Remezovskyi, director of the MGU pay channel distribution department, said “Our mission is more important for Ukrainians at any end of the world – to provide legal quality content. Thanks to the partnership with Meo, we are getting even closer to ethnic Ukrainians in Portugal, because the viewers of the basic package have the opportunity to receive objective news about Ukraine, even if they go far beyond it. We are working together and we are convinced that this is just the beginning”.

Tiago Silva Lopes, consumer goods and services sales director of Altice Portugal, added: “Meo is well known in the market as the largest supplier of international channels for foreign communities, and this new 7-channel package adds value to ours. specific needs of our clients”.

MGU’s international channels are distributed by cable networks, IPTV services and DTH platforms in Europe, Asia and America.
