Documentaries top the list of genres viewers of terrestrial TV services in Poland feel they are missing out on.
Although they also list Polish and foreign films and series, according to Cyfrowizja V1, a study undertaken by Wavemaker, documentaries have overtaken films in the ‘wish list’ as the latter are more often found in alternatives such as streaming services.
The study adds that viewers’ ‘dream multiplex’ would be made up of international film and documentary channels, which they would like to replace TV Trwam and TVP channels, now showing the lowest results in the history of the study.
Yet despite this, Polish viewers are satisfied with the terrestrial TV offer – more than half are convinced that the free TV offer includes interesting channels (56%), there are more stations than a few years ago (69%) and they can be watched in high quality (60%).
