Orange grew its TV customer base in Poland by 22,000 in the year to June 30.
In its latest set of results, its Polish subsidiary Orange Polska says it ended the second quarter with a total of 1,018,000, up from 996,000 in the same period last year. Of these, 879,000 (842,000) were B2C convergent.
While its IPTV subscriber total rose from 554,000 to 642,000 over the period, the number of DTH customers fell from 442,000 to 376,000.
Orange Polska also had a total of 2,719,000 fixed broadband retail customers as of June 20, up from 2,638,000 a year earlier.
The company’s total revenues in Q2 amounted to PLN2,954 million (€642.4 million), up from PLN2,828 million a year earlier.
Its EBITDA was PLN756 million and net income PLN115 million, or over double the PLN52 million posted a year earlier.
