Digi secures Bundesliga rights

July 27, 2021 11.45 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Romania’s Digi Sport has secured the rights to Bundesliga for the next four years.

Games will be broadcast on Digi Sport channels, with the most important ones in Ultra HD on Digi 4K, and on the website www.digisport.ro. They will also be available to cable and satellite TV services and internet subscribers.

Furthermore, Digi subscribers will be able to watch the matches through the free Digi Online application, based on a DigiI.ro account.

Commenting on the development, George Dobre, editor-in-chief of Digi Sport, said: “We continue, as we have committed to do from the beginning, to offer Digi Sport viewers the most important sports competitions. After announcing the extension of the broadcasting rights for LaLiga, we are pleased to confirm the retention in the Digi Sport portfolio of another popular football competition in Europe. For four years, the Bundesliga will be able to be watched on Digi Sport, along with the other quality programs and news offered by our stations. The diversity of domestic and international broadcasts contributes to the positioning of Digi Sport, every year, in the top of the most watched stations in Romania and its maintenance in the leading position on the profile segment”.
