Simplestream partners with Islam Channel

July 15, 2021 10.38 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Islam Channel has chosen Simplestream to expand its live and on-demand streaming services.

As a result, the brand-new Islam Channel platform, built on Simplestream’s proprietary App Platform, is now available across desktop, mobile, tablet, as well as Apple TV, Android TV, and Amazon Fire, in both English and Urdu.

Commenting on the successful launch, Josh Harrington, head of sales, Simplestream, said: “It’s a great achievement to be able to assist Islam Channel on the delivery of a richer content offering through our App Platform. As consumers’ viewing habits change, Islam Channel will be well placed to understand their customers’ needs whilst seamlessly delivering content at any time, across a wide range of devices, and with the ability to expand coverage into new markets”.

Mohamed Harrath, Islam Channel’s CEO, added: “We are pleased to have partnered with Simplestream to launch our suite of state-of-the-art apps. Simplestream’s App Platform solution has enabled us to launch a market-leading service, offering video on demand and live streaming capabilities. They not only look great, but our partnership with Simplestream has provided us with greater flexibility and a broader range of features to enrich our service. This will undoubtedly improve audience experience throughout the world, wherever and whenever our audience chooses to access our content”.

Simplestream’s App Platform is a fully managed, end-to-end solution to enhance premium content across devices, supporting a range of monetisation models. App Platform can be rolled out in as little as 6-12 weeks for broadcasters, content owners & telcos, in a single territory or internationally, across all major platforms.

The launch follows similar projects Simplestream has recently undertaken for UK broadcasters like A+E Blaze, Sony Kids, CBS, UKTV, and GB News.
