Uldis Tatarcuks to head Latvia’s Tet

July 12, 2021 07.42 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Uldis Tatarcuks has been appointed the CEO and chairman of the board of the Latvian incumbent Tet.

He has held the positions on an acting basis since December 4, 2020, prior to which he was a member of the board and CTO for almost 10 years. Tet notes that the office of Amrop Riga, an international top-level personnel selection network company, was involved in the selection of candidates for the telco’s CEO, with the selection taking place using the direct recruitment method in the Baltics and Scandinavia.

Commenting on the appointment, Klavs Vasks, chairman of the Tet Council, said: “At the end of the selection process, the Tet Council, representing the interests of both shareholders, unanimously decided to appoint Uldis Tatarcuks as Tet’s CEO and chairman of the management board. But also during the selection, he demonstrated a strong vision of future development and its implementation in a company important for the Latvian economy and development”.

Tatarcuks added: “Thank you to the Council and the Tet team for trusting and appreciating my ideas and vision for development. Tet has always been a pioneer in introducing the latest technological solutions to Latvian society and business, and will certainly continue to do so, developing beyond Latvia”.

Prior to Tet, Tatarcuks, he was the chairman of the board, a member of the board and the commercial director of Citrus Solutions. He also held the position of the chairman of the Board of G4S, as well as worked for Bite Latvija as a regional business manager.

Tet is jointly owned by the Latvian state (51%) and Tilts Communications (49%), the Danish-registered subsidiary of Telia Company.
