Ringier Axel Springer Polska has unveiled a new version of its VOD.PL platform, produced in partnership with the Polish company Redge Technologies, formerly known as Atende Software.
The new edition of the VOD.PL website will support the most important end platforms as well as feature an attractive UX and UI of applications on them. Access to films and series from the VOD.PL database will be available for a period specified within the offer. The new version of the VOD.PL website provides a modern video player and a search engine of available titles. Navigation has been designed to allow the user to find the content that is being searched for as quickly as possible. A new feature is also the ability to save selected movies and series to the Favourite List.
The current login system has been replaced with a safe and intuitive authorisation offered by Ringier Axel Springer’s own service – O!Konto. It will provide access not only to VOD.PL, but also to many other websites, services and offers with a single login and password.
Viewers can use VOD.PL in the new version on web browsers and Android or iOS applications. The applications are also equipped with the Google Chromecast support function and the next step will be to provide dedicated VOD.PL applications for TVs with Android TV, Samsung TV and LG webOS systems.
Commenting on the development, Piotr Slubowski, director of the VOD segment, Ringier Axel Springer Polska, said: “I believe that the new version of the VOD.PL platform will be satisfactory for our users. During the cooperation, we focused on the experience of the recipients and on the implementation of functionalities that will make the use of our website more enjoyable. Among the novelties, we distinguish an intuitive interface, a modern player, and a new method of authorisation”.
Przemyslaw Frasunek, board member of Redge Technologies, added: “We are proud to be able to cooperate with the leader of the digital industry in Poland. The VOD.PL website has always been a model when it comes to the quality and breadth of the content library. We believe that refreshing this technology will contribute to market success”.
