NLZiet and XroadMedia get personal for OTT users

July 1, 2021 12.27 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The national Dutch on demand platform NLZiet has entered into a partnership with XroadMedia to deliver a personalised TV service to users in the Netherlands.

NLZiet offers the biggest online collection of content from Dutch broadcasters, with more than 150,000 movies, TV series and programmes. With the help of XroadMedia’s Ncanto solution, users can take full advantage of advanced search and personal recommendations. Furthermore, with the help of XroadMedia’s advanced management console, Piloto, NLZiet is able to optimise the content delivery to its users based on the platform’s business goals and specific requirements from its stakeholders.

Before starting the rollout, XroadMedia suggested NLZiet test the solution to experience its benefits first hand. After a short implementation phase, the trial has delivered an increase in customer satisfaction rates, which made the decision easy for NLZiet to start the full rollout of Ncanto and Piloto in their services immediately after the trial period.

Commenting on the development, Adolf Proidl, co-founder and CEO of XroadMedia, said: “We are very excited about the partnership with NLZiet and the great progress we are continuously making together. We are particularly proud of solving one of NLZiet’s key challenges, to fulfil all special requirements they have from public and private broadcaster regarding the presentation of their content. With our solution NLZiet can make sure all content delivered to users hours both interests, from users and broadcasters alike”.

After the successful launch of the project, NLZiet and XroadMedia are working on new use cases to help NLZiet’s users to enjoy their services even more. The introduction of multiple, personal profiles and personalised notifications to users are just two examples of the ongoing roadmap process driven by both companies.
