Netflix is introducing a new feature for mobile users that allows a piece of content to be viewed, even if it hasn’t completed downloading.
The streamer says it knows the disappointment if a download fails to complete because of unreliable Wi-Fi or insufficient data.
Once a data connection is restored it’s then possible to finish the download and keep watching.
The partial download feature is initially being made available on Android phones and tablets. Testing on Apple’s iOS will begin in the next few months.
