M7 and DNMG expand German cable TV cooperation

July 1, 2021 12.47 Europe/London By Broadband TV News Correspondent

M7 Deutschland and Deutsche Netzmarketing (DNMG) are expanding their long-standing cooperation in the German cable TV market.

As part of the extended new agreement, the more than 200 network operators served by industry association DNMG can now access all services, content and rights including IPTV rights from M7 – through a single contract. All free-TV and pay-TV packages will receive the advanced add-on features in the IPTV area, including multiscreen use at home on smartphones and tablets, restart of currently running programmes and TV recordings via network PVR, providing viewers with a contemporary, flexible TV experience.

DNMG network operators can also additionally provide a new Ultra HD channel to cable TV households free of charge.

“We are proud of the long-standing, successful cooperation with DNMG, which we will continue and further deepen in the long term via the extended framework agreement. The new DNMG network operator agreement offers a large number of exclusive benefits that make it even easier for network operators to excite existing customers and attract new customers with an attractive, modern and future-proof TV offering,” said Marco Hellberg, Managing Director of Eviso Germany, the M7 business partner in Germany.

“We are very pleased to be able to contractually secure the bundled purchase of a portfolio that is unique in the market with our partner M7 for many years to come. Above all, the expansion to include IPTV rights and time-shifted TV consumption provides DNMG network operators with a solid basis for offering their end customers innovative services for a wide variety of forms of TV and media use,” said DNMG Managing Director Ingo Schuchert, stressing the strategic and practical importance of the expanded scope of the contract.
